A note on projective foliations

open access: yesPublicacions Matemàtiques, 1983
There are two well-known approaches for studying the conformal and projective foliations. The first one uses the classical definitions of these structures by means of Riemannian metric. The second approach defines conformal and projective foliations as foliations whose second order transversal bundle has either a conformal or a projective structure ...

Oligohistidine‐Functionalized Single‐Walled Carbon Nanotube‐Guided RNA Delivery to Improve Shoot Regeneration Efficiency in Plant Calli

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The pH‐sensitive His6‐SWNTs, which is functionalized with oligohistidine, can deliver STTM396 molecules into callus cells. The STTM396–SWNT complex treatments enhance shoot regeneration efficiency by regulating the miR396‐GRF module in Arabidopsis and tomato calli.

Discrete element analysis of hydraulic stimulation in a slate geothermal reservoir using the ubiquitous foliation model

open access: yesGeomechanics and Geophysics for Geo-Energy and Geo-Resources
This study employs the discrete element method for a series of coupled hydro-mechanical analyses aimed at investigating the hydraulic stimulation effect on a slate geothermal reservoir.

Unlocking the Full Potential of MgAgSb by Unravelling the Interrelation of Phase Constitution and Thermoelectric Properties

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Persistent secondary phases govern the performance of many thermoelectric materials, particularly of high performance MgAgSb. In this study advanced microstructural characterization for unequivocal phase identification combined with transport modeling and statistical analysis enabled the quantification of each phase's impact, revealing the most ...

Alginate‐Sludge Derived Biochar‐Calcium Hydrogel for Phosphate Removal and Slow‐Release Fertilizer: A Sustainable and Multifunctional Solution

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
An alginate‐based biochar hydrogel (ABC‐hydrogel), derived from sewage sludge, is developed for simultaneous phosphate removal and agricultural reuse. It captures phosphorus from water and gradually releases it as fertilizer, enhancing lettuce growth.

On non-Kupka points of codimension one foliations on ℙ3

open access: yesAnais da Academia Brasileira de Ciências
We study the singular set of a codimension one holomorphic foliation on ℙ 3 . We find a local normal form for these foliations near a codimension two component of the singular set that is not of Kupka type.
