Using a Multi‐Attribute Decision‐Making Method to Evaluate the Effect of in Ovo Injection of Valine and Tryptophan on the Growth Performance of Broiler Chickens

open access: yesVeterinary Medicine and Science, Volume 11, Issue 4, July 2025.
He multiple‐attribute method aids management decisions in in ovo nutrition. In ovo amino acid administration reduces embryo mortality risk late in incubation. In ovo injection of 0.55% L‐tryptophan on day 14 improves broiler growth. In ovo 0.55% L‐tryptophan significantly influenced growth metrics at 21 days.

The Effects of Green LED Lighting During Incubation on Embryo Growth, Hatching Performance, Post‐Hatch Growth Performance, Intestinal Morphology, Slaughter and Carcass Characteristics

open access: yesVeterinary Medicine and Science, Volume 11, Issue 4, July 2025.
Continuous green LED lighting during incubation altered broiler development by reducing heart and hatch weight, shortening incubation time, and impairing post‐hatch growth and jejunal morphology without affecting hatchability. ABSTRACT Background In recent years, research has increasingly focused on the role of light exposure in stimulating embryonic ...

Effect of High Fructose Corn Syrup and Citric Acid in Broiler Diets on Performance, Gut pH, Immunity, Antioxidant Status and Some Blood Parameters

open access: yesVeterinary Medicine and Science, Volume 11, Issue 4, July 2025.
Although HFCS negatively affected performance both alone and when mixed with citric acid, citric acid alone positively affects performance. In addition, HFCS together with citric acid increased serum TCHO and HDL‐CHO levels. Although HFCS and citric acid do not have antioxidant effects as both mixtures and alone, it has been determined that citric acid

Broiler Responses to Dietary Fibre Sources at Different Ages: Effects on Growth Performance, Nutrient Digestibility, Blood Parameters and Intestinal Morphology

open access: yesVeterinary Medicine and Science, Volume 11, Issue 4, July 2025.
Inclusion of rice hulls during the grower period and sugar beet pulp during the finisher period improved FCR and BWG in broiler chickens. Combined fibre sources enhanced nutrient digestibility and increased villus height–to–crypt depth ratio. ABSTRACT Background Previous studies investigated the effect of different levels of fibre sources, but little ...
