Creative memory in folk narratives [PDF]
Individual memory and collective memory presuppose a solid image of the identity. The rules and customs related to certain rituals change over time, though the ritualistic behavior remains the same to a large extent. The changes presuppose a certain modification due to which the existing ritualistic patterns are preserved to a large extent.
