Postoperative Hypocalcemia Following Total Thyroidectomy Versus Completion Thyroidectomy
Completion thyroidectomy performed with at least a three‐month interval demonstrates superior parathyroid preservation compared to primary total thyroidectomy, as evidenced by significantly higher postoperative parathyroid hormone levels (51.90 ± 30.26 pg/mL vs. 30.90 ± 17.10 pg/mL, p = 0.006).

Visual Parathyroid Identification in Thyroidectomy: A Decision Curve Analysis of Gland Preservation
Intraoperative visual identification remains the standard approach to parathyroid preservation during thyroidectomy, yet its accuracy has rarely been quantified against an objective reference. Among 50 suspected parathyroid specimens verified by fine‐needle aspiration PTH washout, expert consensus visual identification achieved 84.0% sensitivity but ...

Data‐Independent Acquisition Mass Spectrometry in Tumor Classification and Cancer Biomarker Research
Abstract Cancer treatment is far from optimal also because current classification systems do not reflect the complex molecular status of the tumor and its phenotype in sufficient detail. To construct molecular tumor classifiers, omics tools provide complex molecular data reflecting many aspects from genotype to phenotype.

AI‐assisted reading with the open‐source SEE‐AI model improves lesion detection sensitivity and reduces reading time in small‐bowel capsule endoscopy. In a multicenter retrospective study of 249 cases, SEE‐AI provides visual cues that support physicians during interpretation while preserving physician‐led final decisions.

Identification of Diagnostic Metabolic Signatures in Thyroid Tumors Using Mass Spectrometry Imaging
“Gray zone” thyroid follicular tumors are difficult to diagnose, especially when distinguishing between benign follicular thyroid adenoma (FTA) and malignant carcinoma (FTC). Thus, proper classification of thyroid follicular diseases may improve clinical

ABSTRACT Introduction The American College of Radiology (ACR) Thyroid Imaging Reporting and Data System (TI‐RADS) does not include Doppler vascularity. We evaluated whether increased vascularity identifies clinically significant cytology among nodules that do not meet ACR TI‐RADS fine needle aspiration (FNA) size thresholds.

Parathyroid Adenoma Completely Impacted within the Thyroid Gland: A Case Report [PDF]
Ectopic parathyroid adenoma can be seen in various locations. Sometimes ultrasound and even fine needle aspiration studies cannot distinguish this lesion from thyroid lesions. A 29-year-old woman with a prominent nodule of left thyroid lobe was referred
