Two Novel S‐methyltransferases Confer Dimethylsulfide Production in Actinomycetota
This study identifies two novel S‐adenosine‐methionine‐dependent methyltransferases, MddM1 and MddM2, in actinomycetes from the Mariana Trench. These enzymes can convert toxic hydrogen sulfide (H2S) and methanethiol (MeSH) into dimethylsulfide (DMS), serving as a cellular detoxification and oxidative stress response.

The runaway instability of thick discs around black holes. I. The constant angular momentum case
We present results from a numerical study of the runaway instability of thick discs around black holes. This instability is an important issue for most models of cosmic gamma-ray bursts, where the central engine responsible for the initial energy release

Scars exhibit vascular abnormal alterations, including upregulated NRP1 expression in endothelial cells, increased vascular density and branching, compromised vessel wall integrity, and incomplete pericyte coverage. Therapeutic targeting of NRP1 through hydrogel spray delivery offers a promising approach to normalize aberrant vasculature and prevent ...

Autopolyploidization‐Induced Chromatin Remodeling Regulates Leaf Size Variation in Brassica rapa
This study demonstrates that monoploid, diploid, and autotetraploid Brassica rapa lines derived from the same genome exhibit distinct leaf morphology. Ploidy changes remodel chromatin accessibility and histone modifications to regulate gene expression, while key transcription factors BrGRF13 and BrARF11 control leaf size and polarity, driving ...

Evolution of glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists for the treatment of type 2 diabetes
Glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonists (GLP-1RAs) are a class of antidiabetic drugs developed over the past 15 years. GLP-1, a gastrointestinal peptide hormone that contributes to the postprandial “incretin effect”, stimulates ...

SUSY-breaking Soft Terms in a MSSM Magnetized D7-brane Model
We compute the SUSY-breaking soft terms in a magnetized D7-brane model with MSSM-like spectrum, under the general assumption of non-vanishing auxiliary fields of the dilaton and Kahler moduli.
