Seeing Through an Ant's Eyes: Do Entomopathogenic Fungi Extend Their Cognition to Their Hosts?

open access: yesTopics in Cognitive Science, EarlyView.
Abstract Post‐cognitivist approaches recognize cognition as a phenomenon that involves not just brains but all the sensorimotor apparatus of organisms. This means that brains are not always required for the emergence of cognition and that every organism can, in principle, be cognitive, unlocking a theoretical framework to explain the complex adaptive ...

On the importance of including both sexes in animal studies – insights from home‐cage monitoring

open access: yesBiological Reviews, Volume 101, Issue 5, Page 2408-2426, October 2026.
ABSTRACT A review of behavioural studies using home‐cage monitoring (HCM) systems revealed that over 61% of studies used only male subjects, with only 24% including both sexes, despite evidence of substantial behavioural differences between male and female animals. This bias could influence the outcomes of biomedical research.

Prescription Sequence Symmetry Analysis of Glucagon‐Like Peptide‐1 Receptor Agonists and Neuropsychiatric Conditions

open access: yesClinical Pharmacology &Therapeutics, Volume 120, Issue 4, Page 1092-1100, October 2026.
Glucagon‐like peptide‐1 receptor agonists (GLP‐1RAs) are increasingly prescribed for type 2 diabetes and weight management. However, conflicting evidence from preclinical, clinical, and pharmacovigilance studies suggests potential neuropsychiatric effects.
