There is an unmet need in metastatic breast cancer patients to monitor therapy response in real time. In this study, we show how a noninvasive and affordable strategy based on sequencing of plasma samples with longitudinal tracking of tumour fraction paired with a statistical model provides valuable information on treatment response in advance of the ...

Can the mirror world explain the ortho-positronium lifetime puzzle? [PDF]
We suggest that the discrepant lifetime measurements of ortho-positronium can be explained by ortho-positronium oscillations into mirror ortho-positronium.

Moving the British National Collections
There is no point in rehearsing the lengthy saga of building the new British Library in North London. The media made much of it − much of it inaccurate − and the Library, its staff and its users are now only too pleased to put all that behind and are ...

Foot Index in Right Footed Adults
Quantitative analysis of foot anthropometry is important to the study of ergonomics, orthotics designing and forensic science. This short communication is in reference to our previously published paper on foot anthropometry titled “A Study of foot anthropometry in right footed Indian Population” [1].

B‐cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia (B‐CLL) and monoclonal B‐cell lymphocytosis (MBL) show altered proteomes and phosphoproteomes, analyzed using mass spectrometry, protein microarrays, and western blotting. Identifying 2970 proteins and 316 phosphoproteins, including 55 novel phosphopeptides, we reveal BCR and NF‐kβ/STAT3 signaling in disease ...

Shielding of a direct detection experiment and implications for the DAMA annual modulation signal
Previous work has argued that, in the framework of plasma dark matter models, the DAMA annual modulation signal can be consistently explained with electron recoils.

Breast cancer metastasis is associated with myeloid cell dysregulation and the lung‐specific accumulation of tumor‐supportive Gr1+ cells. Gr1+ cells support metastasis, in part, through a CHI3L1‐mediated mechanism, which can be targeted and inhibited with cargo‐free, polymeric nanoparticles.

Mirror dark matter explanation of the DAMA, CoGeNT and CRESST-II data [PDF]
Dark matter might reside in a hidden sector which contains an unbroken $U(1)'$ gauge interaction kinetically mixed with standard $U(1)_Y$. Mirror dark matter provides a well motivated example of such a theory.

On the sign of the neutrino asymmetry induced by active-sterile neutrino oscillations in the early Universe [PDF]
We deal with the problem of the final sign of the neutrino asymmetry generated by active-sterile neutrino oscillations in the Early Universe solving the full momentum dependent quantum kinetic equations. We study the parameter region $10^{-2} \stackrel{

A nucleotide‐independent, pan‐RAS‐targeted DARPin elicits anti‐tumor activity in a multimodal manner
We report a Designed Ankyrin Repeat Protein that binds and inhibits RAS proteins, which serve as central cell signaling hubs and are essential for the progression of many cancers. Its unique feature is that it does not discriminate between different RAS isoforms or mutations and is capable of binding to RAS in both its active (GTP‐bound) and inactive ...
