ANGIOGRAPHIC EVALUATION OF BOVINE FOOT ABNORMALITIES
Veterinary Radiology, 1982Angiography of normal and diseased feet in cattle was carried out. In osteomyelitis of distal phalanx there was a narrowing of the digital artery with diminished vascular supply to the affected digit. An area of bone necrosis was found to be avascular.

[Congenital foot abnormalities].
Archives de pediatrie : organe officiel de la Societe francaise de pediatrie, 2015The foot may be the site of birth defects. These abnormalities are sometimes suspected prenatally. Final diagnosis depends on clinical examination at birth. These deformations can be simple malpositions: metatarsus adductus, talipes calcaneovalgus and pes supinatus. The prognosis is excellent spontaneously or with a simple orthopedic treatment. Surgery

Abnormalities of Foot Pressure in Early Diabetic Neuropathy
Diabetic Medicine, 1987Dynamic foot pressure has been studied in 44 diabetic subjects of mean age 52 years with no clinical evidence of neuropathy and in an age and sex matched non‐diabetic control group. Vibration perception threshold (VPT), sensory (SCV), and motor conduction velocities (MCV) were also measured in the diabetic subjects.

Abnormal Foot Pressures Alone May not Cause Ulceration
Diabetic Medicine, 1989Both rheumatoid arthritis and diabetes have been associated with the development of abnormally high pressures under the feet, and ulceration has been considered to be a problem in both conditions. In order to examine further the relationship between high foot pressure, neurological abnormalities, and ulceration, we have studied two groups of patients: (

Examination of the Newborn Foot: Positional and Structural Abnormalities
Advances in Neonatal Care, 2002Newborn feet come in a variety of shapes and sizes. The foot is malleable, making it susceptible to compression and deformation from intrauterine positioning. Clinicians frequently question whether variations represent deformations, that is, an alteration in the shape and contour of a normally formed foot, as opposed to a true structural malformation ...

Relationship of Limited Joint Mobility to Abnormal Foot Pressures and Diabetic Foot Ulceration
Diabetes Care, 1991Objective To investigate the role of limited joint mobility (LJM) in causing abnormal foot pressures and foot ulceration. Research Design and Methods The subjects were recruited from a general diabetes clinic where patients were screened for ...

Biomechanics of the normal and abnormal foot
Journal of the American Podiatric Medical Association, 2000The foot is an engineering marvel that allows the body to perform many physical activities over a wide variety of terrain with remarkable efficiency. The functions of the foot and the lower extremity are biomechanically integrated; thus normal lower-extremity function requires normal foot function and vice versa.

Foot length in fetuses with abnormal growth.
Journal of Ultrasound in Medicine, 2000Sonographic fetal foot length is highly predictive of gestational age. In order to assess the reliability of this parameter in predicting gestational age in cases of abnormal fetal growth, we examined fetal foot length in small- and large-for-gestational-age fetuses.

Telerehabilitation for a baby's abnormal foot correction
International Journal of Healthcare Technology and Management, 2008Telemedicine now finds itself at a crossroads and the robotic use over distance for medical diagnosis and treatment has now become a reality. Many kinds of medical deformity on patients at a remote location can be corrected in a non-surgical way, by using robotic medical assistive devices, under telerehabilitation technology.

Thermoregulatory abnormalities of the foot.
The Orthopedic clinics of North America, 1989Thermoregulatory abnormalities are well known but poorly understood phenomena. Pathologic alterations of microvascular blood flow occur in a variety of diseases of the foot, and often cause severe functional impairment. The structure, function, and methods for testing thermoregulatory abnormalities are reviewed.
