Footprints in the cache

Proceedings of the 1986 ACM SIGMETRICS joint international conference on Computer performance modelling, measurement and evaluation - SIGMETRICS '86/PERFORMANCE '86, 1986
This paper develops an analytical model for cache-reload transients and compares the model to observations based on several address traces. The cache-reload transient is the set of cache misses that occur when a process is reinitiated after being suspended temporarily.

Genomic footprinting

Nature Methods, 2016
The advent of DNA footprinting with DNase I more than 35 years ago enabled the systematic analysis of protein-DNA interactions, and the technique has been instrumental in the decoding of cis-regulatory elements and the identification and characterization of transcription factors and other DNA-binding proteins.
