Temporal Persistence of Vertebrate Airborne Environmental DNA in a Natural Open‐Air Setting

Airborne detection of a single known DNA source under natural outdoor conditions ceased 3 days after source removal, indicating that airborne eDNA primarily reflects recent animal presence rather than a lasting trace.
