A Simple Force Ripple Compensation Method for Linear Motor Servo System

2006 6th World Congress on Intelligent Control and Automation, 2006
Force ripple in Permanent Magnet Synchronous Linear Motor (PMLSM) is an important factor which prevents it from acquiring high positioning accuracy. In this paper, the main aspects of the force ripple in linear motor are analyzed, which include detent force, ripple force and friction.

Adaptive force ripple suppression for PMSLM based on improved REFOP algorithm

2018 37th Chinese Control Conference (CCC), 2018
Permanent magnet synchronous linear motor (PMSLM) has been widely applied in the high-precision industrial fields. To reduce the influence of force ripple on the position accuracy of PMSLM servo system, an adaptive suppression scheme is proposed in this paper.

Ripple formation of free graphene ribbons driven by self-attractive forces

Applied Physics Letters, 2013
A simplified model is proposed to calculate reduced self-attractive energy of a free monolayer graphene sheet due to ripples. The model admits stable periodic ripple mode of a free-standing graphene ribbon in the absence of a substrate or mechanical stress, and the predicted wavelengths are in robust agreement with observed values.

Current waveform optimization for force ripple compensation of linear synchronous motors

42nd IEEE International Conference on Decision and Control (IEEE Cat. No.03CH37475), 2004
Linear synchronous motors are finding expanded use in high-performance applications where high speed and high accuracy is essential. The main problem in improving the tracking performance of linear synchronous motors is the presence of force ripple caused by mismatched current waveforms and unbalanced motor phases or amplifier gains.

FORCE RIPPLE COMPENSATOR FOR A VECTOR CONTROLLED PM LINEAR SYNCHRONOUS MOTOR

2006
A dynamic model including non-idealities for a permanent magnet linear synchronous motor (PMLSM) is postulated and verified. The non-idealities acting on the physical linear motor are measured and analyzed. These experimental results are utilized in the model.
