Forced Convection in Nanofluids
2021After discussing the various thermophysical properties of the nanofluids and the effects of various parameters on these thermophysical properties, we are now entering in the field of forced convective heat transfer. The researchers across the worlds have found out that nanofluids (the colloidal suspension of nano-sized particles into the conventional ...

<p>The phenomenon of convective aggregation in idealised radiative convective equilibrium simulations has the ability to change the mean state of its domain. When compared to non-aggregation conditions, these simulations usually have warmer drier mean atmospheres, with stronger precipitation in the convective areas. Many of these

Forced Convection Boiling [PDF]
At some boundary conditions the liquid at the bulk flow at heated surfaces may become saturated. So, we have flow boiling of saturated liquid in the two phase mixture. The heat transfer then consists of a predominant convective part and a nucleate boiling part. The total heat flux is then consumed for evaporation.

Influence of Lorentz forces on nanofluid forced convection considering Marangoni convection
Journal of Molecular Liquids, 2017Abstract Magnetohydrodynamic nanofluid forced convective heat transfer is investigated considering Marangoni convection. A two-phase model is selected for modeling of a nanofluid. The Runge-Kutta integration scheme is utilized to solve this problem.

Aquifers are being used more and more as heat reservoirs. Thermopumps provide energy for heating and, in the case of solar installations, the energy is stored in groundwater during summer to be used in winter. But groundwater has to be protected against the excessively high temperatures which modify water quality, and against chemical pollutants ...

Turbulence occurs nearly everywhere in nature. It is characterized by the efficient dispersion and mixing of vorticity, heat, and contaminants. In flows over solid bodies, such as airplane wings or turbine blades, or in confined flows through ducts and pipelines, and is responsible for increased drag and heat transfer. Turbulence is therefore a subject

Natural and forced convection in an auditorium
Building Services Engineering Research and Technology, 1993A numerical study of natural and forced convection inside an auditorium of the National University of Mexico was performed. Two-dimensional steady-state simulations of the heat transfer and fluid flow processes within a cross-section of the auditorium were carried out using a CFD program.

Strong resonance in forced oscillatory convection
Physical Review A, 1987We report results of an experimental study of the flow regimes observed when time-periodic convection is forced with an external frequency. The physical system is a layer of mercury heated from below. When the temperature difference across the layer exceeds a critical value ΔT ο, the oscillatory instability of convection rolls leads to a time-periodic ...

Correlations for Forced Convection in Ducts
1988A large number of experimental and analytical correlations are available for heat transfer coefficient and flow friction factor for laminar and turbulent flow through channels. In this article, a comprehensive review is made of the available correlations for the laminar and turbulent flow of single-phase Newtonian fluid through circular and noncircular

Turbulent forced convection in microtubes
International Journal of Heat and Mass Transfer, 2001Abstract The anomalous and opposing trends in the published data dealing with turbulent flow friction factor and heat transfer coefficient in microchannels, and their apparent disagreement with macroscale correlations, are discussed. It is shown that the modification of turbulent eddy diffusivities, consistent with the way suspended particles may ...
