Low-Temperature Graphene Growth by Forced Convection of Plasma-Excited Radicals.

open access: yesNano letters (Print), 2019
We developed the forced convection (FC)-PECVD method for the synthesis of graphene, in which a specially designed blowing plasma source is used at moderate gas pressure (1-10 Torr) and the distribution of reactive radicals reaching the substrate surface ...

Cooling photovoltaic panels with air convection – Parametric environmental and economic analysis with case studies

open access: yese-Prime: Advances in Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Energy
Photovoltaic (PV) panels generate electricity due to photoelectric effect, harvesting solar radiation from the sun. However, the hit of photons on the upper surface of the PV panel increases its temperature, and as a result, decreases its efficiency. The

Forced phase diffusion in a convection experiment

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters, 1987
Dans une boite a convection thermique les parois paralleles aux rouleaux de convection sont remplaces par des rampes. Une telle geometrie selectionne une etroite bande de longueurs d'onde.

Large Area, Cost‐Effective, and Ultra‐Fast Fabrication of Mini‐Coils Toward Noninvasive Magnetic Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A simple, cleanroom‐free method produces flexible mini‐coils using automated blade cutting. The process is fast, low‐cost, and supports diverse materials. The coils show strong durability and performance under repeated bending. Demonstrated use in resistor‐inductor filters and magnetic nanoparticle control proves their adaptability.

Requirements and Evaluation of Commercial Digital Light Processing 3D Printers for Upscaled Production of Microstructured Tissue Culture Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Commercial light‐based 3D printers increasingly find use for industry‐scale production of microstructured tissue culture devices. How can commercial printer performance be assessed for a given application? This work introduces simplified quantitative metrics based on microstructural fidelity analysis, addressing key manufacturing challenges in scaling ...

Investigation of the effect of different materials on convective heat transfer

open access: yesJournal of Mechanical Engineering and Sciences, 2020
Conventionally, the study of convection heat transfer merely focuses on the behavior of air flow without considering the conductive effect of the horizontal flat plate.

Experimental and numerical analysis of forced convection in a twisted tube

open access: yesThermal Science, 2019
In the present paper, along with experimental study, CFD analysis of forced convection in a twisted tube is performed, using the transition SST model which can predict the change of flow regime from laminar through transition to turbulent.

Efficient and Scalable Radiative Cooling for Photovoltaics Using Solution‐Processable and Solar‐Transparent Mesoporous Nanoparticles

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Graded refractive index (GRI) structures are prepared from the layer‐by‐layer spray coating of the mesoporous SiO2 nanoparticles, showing high solar transparency and thermal emissivity. Under outdoor conditions, after 50 days, the GRI‐coated photovoltaics show on average 6.65 ± 1.48 °C lower than that of the non‐coated references, maintaining 80.9 ± 8 ...

Numerical prediction of mixed convection heat transfer in an enclosure [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
In this article the transport mechanism of laminar mixed convection in a shear and buoyancy driven cavity flow with locally heated lower wall and moving cooled sidewalls is numerically studied using cubic interpolation profile method.
