Exercise-Induced Bronchoconstriction Identified Using the Forced Oscillation Technique [PDF]

open access: yesFrontiers in Physiology, 2019
Objective: Lung mechanics using the forced oscillation technique (FOT) is suggested to be equivalent and more sensitive in determining exercise-induced bronchoconstriction (EIB) than spirometry.

Forced Oscillation Grid Vulnerability Analysis and Mitigation Using Inverter-Based Resources: Texas Grid Case Study

open access: yesEnergies, 2022
Forced oscillation events have become a challenging problem with the increasing penetration of renewable and other inverter-based resources (IBRs), especially when the forced oscillation frequency coincides with the dominant natural oscillation frequency.

A Comprehensive Method to Mitigate Forced Oscillations in Large Interconnected Power Grids

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2021
Multiple severe forced oscillation events have recently been observed across the North American interconnections and around the world. These forced oscillations have caused power swings, limited power transfer capability, damaged equipment, and persisted

Forced oscillation location based on temporal graph convolutional network

open access: yesEnergy Reports, 2023
Oscillation source location is the key to suppressing the forced oscillation and guaranteeing power system stability. For forced oscillation events with clear disturbance sources, locating the source of the oscillation quickly and accurately is the ...

Forced Symmetric Oscillations

open access: yesBulletin of the Belgian Mathematical Society - Simon Stevin, 2007
The authors study an interesting problem involving periodic solutions having a symmetry induced by an orthogonal matrix \(A\) for which there is an integer \(p\) such that \(A^p\) is the identity. More precisely, given \(T>0\), they look for solutions \(x\) satisfying the relation \(x(t+T)=A x(t)\), for every \(t\). These solutions are \(pT\)-periodic.

Forced oscillation of impulsive fractional partial differential equations

open access: yesPartial Differential Equations in Applied Mathematics, 2023
In this paper, we investigate the forced oscillation of impulsive fractional partial differential equations. Some sufficient conditions are established which guarantee that the oscillation of the solutions by applying the integral transformation ...

Contrasting diagnosis performance of forced oscillation and spirometry in patients with rheumatoid arthritis and respiratory symptoms

open access: yesClinics, 2012
OBJECTIVES: Pulmonary involvement in rheumatoid arthritis is directly responsible for 10% to 20% of all mortality. The best way to improve the prognosis is early detection and treatment.
