Research on Voids Detection Technology for Building Exterior Tile Cladding Based on Force-Sound Fusion Features

Adhered cladding is widely used in building façade decoration; however, interfacial voids severely compromise structural safety during service. The study focuses on adhered ceramic tiles, conducting single-point impact and vibration acquisition tests on specimens with pre-defined void defects of varying sizes and shapes.

The attached letter to the SHPO spells out the intent to replace all original roofing tiles on historic buildings because they are brittle and broken. US Tile’s Bernardo Blend was selected as a replacement of the original and for future new construction roofing tiles.
