Promoting Treg Polarization‐Mediated Anti‐Scar and Appendage Regeneration in Wound Healing
This study develops a PLGA@LA‐BMP4‐PG bilayer scaffold to address scar formation and appendage loss in skin repair. The piezoelectric PLA layer enhances cell migration via electric fields, while GelMA delivers LA promoting Tregs polarization and BMP4 inhibiting FBs differentiation.

We present a dual‐organ, biomarker‐integrated ovaryendometrium organ‐on‐a‐chip that recapitulates 3D tissue complexity, menstrual cycle dynamics, and hormonal crosstalk. This platform enables real‐time, cell‐typespecific fluorescent readouts of reproductive toxicity using ANGPTL4 and SERPINB2 as early‐response reporters.

Dietary habits play a key role in chronic diseases, and higher annual consumption of fruit and vegetable may lower risk of dementia. Artificial intelligence predicts the lipid‐like compound α‐Amyrin (αA) from plants with edible peels as a drug candidate against Alzheimer's disease.

Hyaluronic acid‐modified bimetallic peroxide nanocomposites (MgO2‐CuO2@HA) are designed for synergistic tumor therapy. The nanocomposites release Mg2+, H2O2, and Cu2+ in tumor cells, induce cuproptosis via Cu+‐mediated protein aggregation, and activate pyroptosis through caspase‐1/gasdermin D pathways for inducing immunogenic cell death, collectively ...

Thoracoabdominal mechanics during relaxed and forced vital capacity
Journal of Applied Physiology, 1979Thoracoabdominal configuration, intrathoracic (esophageal), intra-abdominal (gastric), and transdiaphragmatic pressures were studied in six normal upright subjects during relaxed (RVC) and forced vital capacity (FVC). Chest wall configuration showed substantial departure from its relaxation characteristics during FVC.

BRONCHOCONSTRICTION INDUCED BY REPEATED FORCED VITAL CAPACITY MANOEUVRES
Allergy, 1975An asthmatic atopic patient who developed bronchoconstriction during repeated forced vital capacity manoeuvres and after exercise is reported. Since increases in total airway and upper segment resistances and drop in FEV1 and Vmax 50 were induced, it is considered that bronchoconstriction involved most of the airways.

Simulation of airway closure during forced vital capacity
Annals of Biomedical Engineering, 1989Airway closure, which disconnects peripheral respiratory units from the trachea, has been observed during expiration to residual volume. It is attributed to dynamic compression that may cause unstable collapse and closure of small airways. During forced vital maneuvers, airway closure is expected to be more significant owing to the maximum expiratory ...

Vital capacity can be measured as forced vital capacity (FVC), slow vital capacity (SVC), and inspiratory vital capacity (IVC). Although it is well known that the latter two are generally greater, a systematic comparison of the three in subjects with different degrees of airways obstruction has not been made.
