The response of the pulmonary tissue in a continuous stay of foreign bodies in the lung is characterized by chronic inflammation of the pulmonary tissue, deformation of the bronchial tree, atrophic, hyperplastic and dystrophic changes in the ciliated epithelium and its metaplastic degeneration into multitratum squamous epithelium.
