Biodegradable Adhesive Systems for Bio‐Integrated Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Biodegradable adhesives provide temporary yet reliable adhesion while degrading into safe, non‐toxic by‐products under physiological or environmental conditions. This review summarizes recent developments in physical and chemical adhesion mechanisms—including hydrogen bonding, catechol chemistry, amine‐carboxyl coupling, and emerging diazirine and urea

Design of Single‐Atom Catalysts Anchored in N‐Doped Biphenylene Using Symbolic Regression for Electrocatalytic Nitrate Reduction to Ammonia

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A high‐throughput in silico calculations for NO3RR based on transition metal doped and nitrogen decorated biphenylene network are performed. A symbolic regression is designed to capture the hidden descriptors of NO3RR for hyper dimensional system entailing large geometric variability.

Rent Seeking and Judicial Bias in Weak Legal Systems [PDF]

open access: yes
We model rent seeking in litigation in weak legal systems as a Tulloch contest in which litigators may seek to influence the court directly through bribery as well as through the merit of the legal case that they bring.

Antiemesis Corticosteroids Potentiate Checkpoint Blockade Efficacy by Normalizing the Immune Microenvironment in Metastatic Murine Breast Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Corticosteroids improve the efficacy of immune checkpoint blockade therapy in metastatic murine breast cancer. By normalizing the tumor immune microenvironment, corticosteroids reduce immunosuppressive signals, restore T‐cell function, and promote antitumor immune responses, resulting in enhanced tumor control.

The Role of Ionic Liquids at the Biological Interfaces in Bioelectronics

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Ionic liquids (ILs) are highlighted as key artificial ionic materials that bridge biological ion‐based signaling and electronic devices. By understanding their composition, structure, function relationships, and mechanisms, ILs can advance from high performance electrolyte to core materials enabling integrated, multifunctional bioelectronics for ...

Advanced Human Immune Cell‐Organoid Co‐Cultures for Functional Testing of Cancer Nanovaccines

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma remains difficult to treat. We establish an organoid–immune co‐culture using patient‐derived organoids and matched T‐cells to assess cancer vaccines. A mesothelin‐targeted nanovaccine activates antigen‐specific T‐cells, increases IFN‐γ, and targets MSLN+ organoids.

Atomic‐Scale Insights into Yttrium‐Induced Grain Boundary Structure Modification in Al2O3

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Using advanced STEM characterization combined with NNP‐based MCMD calculations, it is revealed that Y segregation at ∑13 Al2O3 GB involves not only simple substitution of Y for Al atoms but also structural adaptation with a change in GB atomic density, leading to minimized excess volume and lowest GB energy.
