Bacteria‐Responsive Nanostructured Drug Delivery Systems for Targeted Antimicrobial Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Bacteria‐responsive nanocarriers are designed to release antimicrobials only in the presence of infection‐specific cues. This selective activation ensures drug release precisely at the site of infection, avoiding premature or indiscriminate release, and enhancing efficacy.

Engineering Gap‐Enhanced Raman Tags for High‐Performance Security Inks: A Focus on Raman Tag Density and Stability

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Gap‐enhanced Raman tags (GERTs) with optimized tag density and stability are engineered for use in high‐performance security inks. The inks enable invisible molecular‐level encoding, long‐term signal retention, and high sensitivity. This work demonstrates a robust, scalable platform for anti‐counterfeiting and authentication with potential integration ...

Dual‐Modality Detection of Intracellular Nanoparticles via Smart Polymer‐Enhanced SERS and Hyperspectral Microscopy Detection

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
Dual‐imaging strategy for PAP‐functionalized gold nanoparticles (PAP@Gold NPs) in HeLa cells. Fast screening is achieved via hyperspectral microscopy based on light reflection to track nanoparticle localization. Accurate detection is performed through SERS microscopy, leveraging the plasmonic enhancement of the PAP polymer signal for precise location ...

Forensic Engineerings Believe It or Not

open access: yesJournal of the National Academy of Forensic Engineers, 1993
Laymen and occasionally experienced electrical engineers have reported unusual occurrences over the years which have been attributed to the mystical nature of electricity. Since electricity cannot be seen, heard, smelled or tasted but is very powerful, i.e. lightning, electrocution and computers, it has acquired a supernatural reputation.
