Simultaneous Detection of Steroid Esters and Multi‐Class Substances in Dried Blood Spots by LC‐HRMS/MS From a Single Spot for Human Doping Control

open access: yesDrug Testing and Analysis, EarlyView.
A validated LC‐HRMS/MS method enabled, for the first time, the comprehensive detection of steroid esters and multi‐class menu substances from a single dried blood spot. Following extraction, the resulting extract is split into two aliquots, reducing sample consumption and simplifying the analytical workflow.

A Single‐Aliquot Strategy for Simultaneous Carbon Isotope Confirmation of 6‐Oxo‐Androstenedione and Testosterone Misuse in Doping Control

open access: yesDrug Testing and Analysis, EarlyView.
This method enables simultaneous carbon isotope confirmation of 6‐oxo‐androstenedione and testosterone markers from a single urine aliquot, using bench‐top extraction, two preparative HPLC steps with intermediate acetylation, and GC/C/IRMS analysis. It was fully validated according to WADA requirements, and real samples demonstrated its fitness for ...

2026 Consensus for the Use of Alcohol Markers in Hair for Supporting the Assessment of Abstinence and Chronic Alcohol Consumption

open access: yesDrug Testing and Analysis, EarlyView.
The 2026 Society of Hair Testing (SoHT) Consensus recommends ethyl glucuronide (EtG) as the primary hair marker for supporting the assessment of alcohol abstinence and chronic excessive alcohol consumption. In proximal scalp hair, EtG ≤ 5 pg/mg does not contradict self‐reported abstinence, whereas EtG ≥ 30 pg/mg strongly suggests chronic excessive ...

Integrative Genomic and Functional Investigation of the Multi‐Layered Genetic Architecture Between Anorexia Nervosa and Bone Loss

open access: yesInternational Journal of Eating Disorders, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Bone loss is a severe and often irreversible complication of anorexia nervosa (AN), yet the genetic mechanisms underlying this comorbidity remain underexplored. This study focuses on constructing a comprehensive genetic architecture between AN and estimated calcaneal bone mineral density (eBMD).
