Potential Contamination Cases in Anti‐Doping: Experiences and Practices of 33 Anti‐Doping Organisations

open access: yesDrug Testing and Analysis, EarlyView.
Across 33 Anti‐Doping Organisations (ADOs), 85% reported experiencing at least one contamination‐claim case in 2024–2025, but only 36% operate a standardised process for handling such claims. Dietary supplements were the leading alleged contamination source (76% of ADOs), followed by food (42%) and pharmaceutical products, intimate contact, and other ...

Evidence for the Effectiveness of the Performance Passport Within an Intelligence‐Based Weightlifting Anti‐Doping Programme

open access: yesDrug Testing and Analysis, EarlyView.
Anti‐doping programmes require efficient testing, as biological testing is costly; the Athlete Performance Passport (APP) uses performance data to identify at‐risk athletes alongside APMU and ABP methods. Since the introduction of the steriodal passport in 2014, the APP outperformed APMU (17%) and ABP steroidal profiles (10%) with 30% detection ...

Population‐Stratified Distributions of Post‐Mortem Blood Drug Concentrations: An Epidemiological Framework for Contextual Interpretation

open access: yesDrug Testing and Analysis, EarlyView.
Post‐mortem blood drug concentrations exhibit substantial overlap between deaths in which a drug was implicated and those in which it was not. Analysis of over 58,000 NPSUM cases demonstrates that demographic stratification does not resolve this uncertainty, reinforcing the need for contextual, evidence‐based interpretation rather than concentration ...

Intra‐Individual Variability of Blood and Urinary Steroid Markers and the Response to Codeine Intake in Healthy Men and Women

open access: yesDrug Testing and Analysis, EarlyView.
Short‐term codeine administration (1–3 days) caused individual alterations in Athlete Biological Passport steroid markers, including elevated urinary T/E ratios and decreased serum testosterone concentrations below individual thresholds, despite no significant changes at the group level.

Integrative Genomic and Functional Investigation of the Multi‐Layered Genetic Architecture Between Anorexia Nervosa and Bone Loss

open access: yesInternational Journal of Eating Disorders, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Bone loss is a severe and often irreversible complication of anorexia nervosa (AN), yet the genetic mechanisms underlying this comorbidity remain underexplored. This study focuses on constructing a comprehensive genetic architecture between AN and estimated calcaneal bone mineral density (eBMD).
