Mechanistic Design of Graphdiyne‐Based Multimodal Sensing Integrating Machine Learning and Photothermal Dynamics for Precision Recognition and On‐Demand Inactivation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A triple‐mode theranostic platform enables integrated electrochemical, colorimetric, and photothermal detection of bacterial infection. Glucose oxidation triggers H2O2 generation and TMB oxidation to oxTMB, producing color and thermal signals under 808 nm NIR irradiation.

Land-Use Change and Carbon Sinks: Econometric Estimation of the Carbon Sequestration Supply Function

open access: yes
When and if the United States chooses to implement a greenhouse gas reduction program, it will be necessary to decide whether carbon sequestration policies, such as those that promote forestation and discourage deforestation, should be part of the ...

Autonomous and Continuous Atmospheric Water Harvesting Using Modified Wood

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A rigid, hydroxyl‐rich wood skeleton with graded channels is used as a multifunctional host to co‐incorporate a PNipam/PAA network and LiCl, creating a high‐performance sorbent for atmospheric water harvesting. The composite achieves rapid sorption, efficient low‐temperature desorption, and stable cycling, enabling a solar‐powered device with a high ...

Climate Change and Forest Sinks: Factors Affecting the Costs of Carbon Sequestration [PDF]

open access: yes
The possibility of encouraging the growth of forests as a means of sequestering carbon dioxide has received considerable attention because of concerns about the threat of global climate change due to the greenhouse effect.

Chitosan‐Carbon Dot Composite Materials Form a Leaf Surface Barrier to Mitigate the Enrichment and Invasion of Nanoplastics: From Leaf Interface to Systemic Response

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Foliar spraying of CS‐CDs can form a film on the leaves of Brassica rapa, effectively reducing the enrichment and absorption of PS in the leaves, while increasing the biomass and nutrient content of the plants. In addition, CS‐CDs can also enrich the interfoliar microbial community and activate the plant's own defense metabolic pathways.
