Research on principles of making access to mountain forests by forest road networki

open access: yesJournal of Forest Science, 2005
We consider making access to forests and forest complexes as an optimal allocation of routes of forest roads, land and air communications and transport routes with their optimal structure (composition, proportion of separate types) being implemented ...

Ecological criterion effect on the forest road network longitudinal gradient

open access: yesActa Universitatis Agriculturae et Silviculturae Mendelianae Brunensis, 2013
The specific way in which a forest road is designed affects the management in the forest environment and timber transport. The aim of this study was to find out whether an inclusion of the ecological criterion in the forest road design will change the ...

Gait Analysis of Pak Biawak: A Necrobot Lizard Built using the Skeleton of an Asian Water Monitor (Varanus Salvator)

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
Pak Biawak, a necrobot, embodies an unusual fusion of biology and robotics. Designed to repurpose natural structures after death, it challenges conventional boundaries between nature and engineering. Its movements are precise yet unsettling, raising questions about sustainability, ethics, and the untapped potential of biointegrated machines.

Optimization of a forest road network.

open access: yesNetherlands Journal of Agricultural Science, 1985
A new planning model was developed that does not specify parallel road networks as in existing models (e.g. Larsson's). The new model, based on the 'travelling salesman' algorithm, consists of 2 complementary models for flat and broken terrain which are reproduced in the synopsis together with Larsson's model.

ChicGrasp: Imitation‐Learning‐Based Customized Dual‐Jaw Gripper Control for Manipulation of Delicate, Irregular Bio‐Products

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
Automated poultry processing lines still rely on humans to lift slippery, easily bruised carcasses onto a shackle conveyor. Deformability, anatomical variance, and hygiene rules make conventional suction and scripted motions unreliable. We present ChicGrasp, an end‐to‐end hardware‐software co‐designed imitation learning framework, to offer a ...
