A Novel CsYABBY3‐CsAS1 Feedback Loop Coordinates Trichome Differentiation and Cannabinoid Biosynthesis in Cannabis sativa L.

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A novel transcriptional module involving CsYABBY3 and CsAS1 is identified to regulate cannabinoid biosynthesis and trichome development. These factors mutually activate each other and form a protein complex via a conserved residue, acting synergistically to amplify metabolic flux through a coordinate feed‐forward mechanism.

THE PLACE OF FORESTRY IN THE ECONOMY OF NEWFOUNDLAND

open access: yesThe Forestry Chronicle, 1960
The forest industry is of major importance in the economy of Newfoundland. However, its contribution in absolute terms has declined slightly, and in relative terms considerably, since 1951.A major problem of the industry is low productivity in woodswork and in sawmill operations, in which annual earnings are very meagre.

Synergies in Agricultural Biodiversity Conservation: Decomposing the Interaction Between Nature Parks and Agri‐Environment Schemes

open access: yesApplied Economic Perspectives and Policy, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Understanding how policy instruments with overlapping goals interact is crucial for leveraging their synergies. This study explores the mechanisms for regional nature parks (a form of protected areas that impose no restrictions on agriculture) to enhance the adoption of biodiversity‐conserving agri‐environment schemes (AES) in Switzerland ...
