Manifolds associated with $(Z_2)^n$-colored regular graphs

open access: yes, 2008
In this article we describe a canonical way to expand a certain kind of $(\mathbb Z_2)^{n+1}$-colored regular graphs into closed $n$-manifolds by adding cells determined by the edge-colorings inductively.

In-situ infra-red monitoring of powder bed fusion laser beam (PBF-LB) for density prediction using supervised machine learning models for nitinol shape memory alloy as a basis for closed-loop control

open access: yesVirtual and Physical Prototyping
This study investigates a robust predictive model for Nickel-Titanium (NiTi) part quality in powder bed fusion laser beam (PBF-LB) serving as a foundational step toward the implementation of real-time Closed-Loop Control (CLC).

Translational Application of 3D Bioprinting for Cartilage Tissue Engineering

open access: yesBioengineering, 2021
Cartilage is an avascular tissue with extremely limited self-regeneration capabilities. At present, there are no existing treatments that effectively stop the deterioration of cartilage or reverse its effects; current treatments merely relieve its ...

Personalized Selumetinib Dosing in Pediatric Neurofibromatosis Type 1: Insights From a Pilot Therapeutic Drug Monitoring Study

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To evaluate selumetinib exposure using therapeutic drug monitoring (TDM) in pediatric patients with neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1) and plexiform neurofibromas (PN), assess interpatient pharmacokinetic variability, and explore the relationship between drug exposure, clinical response, and adverse effects.

Efficacy of platelet-rich fibrin in promoting the healing of extraction sockets: a systematic review

open access: yesInternational Journal of Implant Dentistry, 2021
Purpose To address the focused question: in patients with freshly extracted teeth, what is the efficacy of platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) in the prevention of pain and the regeneration of soft tissue and bone compared to the respective control without PRF ...

Conservativeness of non-symmetric diffusion processes generated by perturbed divergence forms

open access: yes, 2011
Let E be an unbounded open (or closed) domain in Euclidean space of dimension greater or equal to two. We present conservativeness criteria for (possibly reflected) diffusions with state space E that are associated to fairly general perturbed divergence ...

Adherence to Protocol Recommendations for Children With Wilms Tumour in Two Consecutive Studies in the United Kingdom and Ireland—Does Variation Matter?

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background and Aims Wilms tumour (WT) has excellent event‐free and overall survival (OS). However, small differences exist between countries participating in the same international study. This led us to examine variation in adherence to protocol recommendations as a potential contributing factor.

Diagonal form factors and hexagon form factors [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
We study the heavy-heavy-light (HHL) three-point functions in the planar N = 4 super-Yang- Mills theory using the recently proposed hexagon bootstrap program [arXiv:1505.06745]. We prove the conjecture of Bajnok, Janik and Wereszczynski [arXiv:1404.4556]

Sirolimus for Extracranial Arteriovenous Malformations: A Scoping Review of the Evidence in Syndromic and Non‐Syndromic Cases

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Arteriovenous malformations (AVMs) are rare, high‐flow, vascular anomalies that can occur either sporadically or as part of a genetic syndrome. AVMs can progress with serious morbidity and even mortality if left unchecked. Sirolimus is an mTOR inhibitor that is effective in low‐flow vascular malformations; however, its role in AVMs is unclear.
