Piezoelectric Actuators for Low-Form-Factor Electronics Cooling

open access: closedAdvances in Electronic Packaging, Parts A, B, and C, 2005
The cooling performance of piezoelectric actuators is evaluated for low-form-factor electronics in this work. A piezoelectric actuator is a cantilever made from metal or plastic with a piezoelectric material bonded to it. Under an alternating electrical current, the piezo actuator oscillates back and forth, generating airflow.

Magnetic form factor for itinerant-electron systems

Physical Review B, 1994
First-principles calculations of the itinerant-electron magnetic form factor for ferromagnets which include both the spin and orbital contributions have been completed for ferromagnetic nickel and iron. To our knowledge, these are the first calculations of this type for 3[ital d] ferromagnets.

Electron form factors of deformable nuclei

Soviet Physics Journal, 1987
Using the smallness of the deformation parameter of the nucleus, we obtain simple explicit expressions for the form factors of electroexcitation of the low-lying rotation-vibration states of light, deformable, even-even nuclei. The expressions satisfactorily describe the experimental data on the excitation of collective nuclear states by the inelastic ...

Suppression of elastic magnetic electron scattering form factors

Physical Review C, 1985
Some recent experiments have reported a strong suppression of the M3 part of the elastic magnetic electron scattering in a number of light nuclei. We examine the effect of the first-order as well as second-order perturbative diagrams on the momentum-transfer dependence of the M1 and M3 form factors in the case of a closed f/sub 7/2/ shell plus a ...

Form Factors in Electron-Trinucleon Scattering

Physical Review, 1965
Abstract : The four form factors in electron-trinucleon (e-H3 or e-He3) elastic scattering are analyzed using two alternative sets of four unknowns: (i) the neutron electric form factor, the form factor F for the dominant S state and the isovector- and isocalar-exchange magnetic form factors-neglecting the mixed symmetry S' state; (ii) the form factors

Electron form factors up to fourth order. - I

Il Nuovo Cimento A, 1972
The explicit results of the analytic evaluation of the discontinuities of the electron form factors and of their zero-momentum-transfer values, up to the fourth order of the perturbative expansion of QED in the electric charge, are presented. Asymptotic and threshold behaviours are discussed.

Paramagnetic form factors for cubic itinerant electron systems

Physical Review B, 1988
Measurements of the elastic neutron scattering cross section performed over the past several decades have provided information about the induced magnetic form factor for a number of transition-metal paramagnets. These results, when converted to an absolute scale, provide a sensitive test of electronic wave functions obtained from band calculations ...

Three-pion form factor from electron-positron experiments

Il Nuovo Cimento, 1961
The reaction e+ + e- yields + + pi - + pi 0 mentally, following preliminary calculations based on previous work (N. Cabibbo and R. Gatto, Phys. Rev. Letters 4, 3l3(l960)). A 3 pi resonance peak was found at E 525 Mev.

Study Magnetic Electron Scattering Form Factor of Magnesium 24Mg

NeuroQuantology, 2022
The magnetic form factors (ML) of inelastic electron scattering of magnesium nuclei 24Mg were studied computationally using Oxbash code. The energy levels of this nucleus were calculated through the shell model and using the model space (ZBM, PSD,SPSDPF and SD).
