Paramagnetic form factors from itinerant electron theory [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Applied Physics, 1985
Elastic neutron scattering experiments performed over the past two decades have provided accurate information about the magnetic form factors of paramagnetic transition metals. These measurements have traditionally been analyzed in terms of an atomic-like theory.

One-cycle control of switching converters [PDF]

open access: yes, 1995
A new large-signal nonlinear control technique is proposed to control the duty-ratio d of a switch such that in each cycle the average value of a switched variable of the switching converter is exactly equal to or proportional to the control reference in

Deuteron disintegration by polarized electrons and the electric form factor of the neutron

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 1986
Abstract The electron polarization asymmetry ∑ e for d( e , e′n)p using longitudinally polarized electrons is studied in the quasi free region with specific emphasis on the influence of the neutron electric form factor. Sizeable effects are found for neutrons emitted in the forward direction with respect to the momentum transfer.

Redox‐dependent binding and conformational equilibria govern the fluorescence decay of NAD(P)H in living cells

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this work, we reveal how different enzyme binding configurations influence the fluorescence decay of NAD(P)H in live cells using time‐resolved anisotropy imaging and fluorescence lifetime imaging microscopy (FLIM). Mathematical modelling shows that the redox states of the NAD and NADP pools govern these configurations, shaping their fluorescence ...

An atomistic view on the Schottky barrier lowering applied to SrTiO3/Pt contacts

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2019
The interface between a metal and a semiconductor is known as Schottky contact and a key factor in semiconductor technologies. Those interfaces normally build an energetic barrier, which is responsible for the exponential current voltage dependence ...
