The Everett-Wheeler interpretation and the open future [PDF]
I discuss the meaning of probability in the Everett-Wheeler interpretation of quantum mechanics, together with the problem of defining histories. To resolve these, I propose an understanding of probability arising from a form of temporal logic: the ...

Intein‐based modular chimeric antigen receptor platform for specific CD19/CD20 co‐targeting
CARtein is a modular CAR platform that uses split inteins to splice antigen‐recognition modules onto a universal signaling backbone, enabling precise, scarless assembly without re‐engineering signaling domains. Deployed here against CD19 and CD20 in B‐cell malignancies, the design supports flexible multi‐antigen targeting to boost T‐cell activation and

Pitch Frames as Melodic Archetypes
In our history we have recognized scales of some variety as keystones to music’s pitch structure. And yet, empirical studies of perception and archeological appraisals of human evolution confirm an unchanging cognitive/perceptual ground for the musical ...

IqgC is a RasGAP from Dictyostelium discoideum. IqgC binds RasG via its RasGAP domain and deactivates it on macroendocytic cups, thereby suppressing the uptake of fluid and particles. IqgC has a positive effect on cell‐substratum adhesion, and its RGCt domain is required for recruitment to ventral foci.

Does Suppositional Reasoning Solve the Bootstrapping Problem? [PDF]
In a 2002 article Stewart Cohen advances the “bootstrapping problem” for what he calls “basic justification theories,” and in a 2010 followup he offers a solution to the problem, exploiting the idea that suppositional reasoning may be used with ...

This study presents a novel approach to teaching Python and bioinformatics using team‐based learning and cloud‐hosted notebooks. By integrating interactive coding into biomedical education, the method improves accessibility, student engagement, and confidence—especially for those without a computing background.

Laminar Cortical Dynamics of Visual Form and Motion Interactions During Coherent Object Motion Perception [PDF]
How do visual form and motion processes cooperate to compute object motion when each process separately is insufficient? A 3D FORMOTION model specifies how 3D boundary representations, which separate figures from backgrounds within cortical area V2 ...

We report that some menthol‐like cooling compounds, including (R)‐(‐)‐carvone, act as inhibitors of TAS2R31 and TAS2R43, which are taste receptors responsible for the intrinsic bitter aftertastes of saccharin and acesulfame K. However, there was little correlation between the intensity of the cooling sensation and the potency of bitterness inhibition ...

Light as Tool for Deep Object Form Perception
Through an experimental approach, this paper investigates light as a tool to achieve deep perception of three-dimensional object forms, to support aesthetic assessment during the creation of physical models. With product design practice as the foundation,
