Probabilistic Concepts in Formal Contexts

2012
We generalize the main notions of Formal Concept Analysis with the ideas of the semantic probabilistic inference. We demonstrate that under standard restrictions, our definitions completely correspond to the original notions of Formal Concept Analysis. From the point of view of applications, we propose a method of recovering concepts in formal contexts

Concept Drift in documents and Formal Concept Analysis

2010
Formal Concept Analysis (FCA) enables us to extract conceptual information from data and to visualize its structure in a lattice form. Here, we apply FCA to the analysis of a series of documents published periodically, in order to capture drifts of formal concepts occurred in the series by shifting the corresponding formal context as a viewpoint by ...

Basic Level of Concepts in Formal Concept Analysis

2012
The paper presents a preliminary study on basic level of concepts in the framework of formal concept analysis (FCA). The basic level of concepts is an important phenomenon studied in the psychology of concepts. We argue that this phenomenon may be utilized in FCA for selecting important concepts.

Formal concept analysis in intuitionistic fuzzy formal context

2010 Seventh International Conference on Fuzzy Systems and Knowledge Discovery, 2010
This paper mainly studies the formal concept analysis in an intuitionistic fuzzy formal context. The primitive notions in concept lattice theory are extended to the intuitionistic fuzzy environment. According to this view, the notion of crisp-intuitionistic fuzzy concept is proposed which originates from an defined extent operator and an intent ...
