The effects of stroke pose a challenge on independence and community participation, which are common goals among survivors of stroke during recovery. Exercises are implemented during rehabilitation services and have a profound effect on functional recovery; however, services are limited, where adherence levels to exercise post discharge are less than ...

Abstract: Introduction: Contemporary consciousness research remains fragmented between physically-grounded but mathematically-underspecified models and mathematically-precise but physically-unconnected frameworks. This paper bridges two such approaches: the Cognitive Field Dynamics (CFD) model by Gaconnet (2025), which defines consciousness as "the I-

ProMetNet introduces a biologically constrained deep learning framework for proteo‐metabolomic integration by embedding Reactome‐derived pathway topology into neural networks. It captures non‐linear molecular dependencies and pathway‐level metabolic reorganization, enabling interpretable discrimination.

Probing Type‐II Multiferroicity in Monolayer NiBr2
Type‐II multiferroicity is demonstrated in monolayer NiBr2. Scanning tunneling microscopy resolves ferroelectric polarization arising from non‐collinear magnetic order, and reciprocal control with electric and magnetic fields confirms intrinsic magnetoelectric coupling.

Salt stress significantly impacts plant growth. Through population transcriptome, eQTL and TWAS analyses, we identified several candidate genes potentially associated with salt stress response. Functional assays suggested that some of these genes may contribute to salt tolerance.

Experiences of ageing and support networks for accessing formal care services among older Chinese immigrants in England: a grounded theory study [PDF]
The Chinese group is the fastest growing ethnic group in the UK; this group is ageing fast, with the number of older Chinese doubling in 8 years. The majority of older Chinese immigrants in the UK have low education levels and limited English proficiency, and were reported to have low service use rate, lack of social support, and poor emotional status.\

Mechanochemical Activation of a Bridged‐Exciplex Optical Force Probe
A bridged‐exciplex optical force probe is synthesized, switching from solvatochromic charge‐transfer emission in the latent state to intense locally excited emission upon activation. This dual photophysical response with additional changes in quantum yield and fluorescence lifetime enables precise environmental sensing and distinct optical readouts ...
