Chronic Hypoxia Disrupts Spermatogenesis Through ASXL2–EZH2–Mediated Microtubule Destabilization

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study reveals the mechanism by which chronic hypoxia impairs spermatogenesis via the ASXL2–EZH2 axis, hindering the transition of spermatids from round to elongated forms. Key findings reveal that under hypoxic conditions, downregulated ASXL2 expression reduces EZH2 binding to the CEP162 promoter, leading to decreased H3K27me3 modification and ...

Influence of uron resins on the performance of UF resins as adhesives for plywood

open access: yesMaderas: Ciencia y Tecnología, 2012
Uron resin, a kind of urea-formaldehyde (UF) resin containing much more uron structure, were prepared. Several modified UF resins were obtained from mixing uron resins with normal UF resins as well as synthesizing UF resin with uron resin as raw material.

Shock tube measurements of growth constants in the branched chain formaldehyde-carbon monoxide-oxygen system [PDF]

open access: yes
Exponential free radical growth constants were measured for formaldehyde carbon monoxide-oxygen systems by monitoring the growth of oxygen atom concentration as manifested by CO flame band emission.

Divergent Responses of Bacterial Communities to Permafrost Degradation and Their Associations With Carbon Across Vertical Profiles

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Bacterial α‐diversity decreases, but stochasticity and community stability increase across the 15 m‐depth vertical profiles and along the degraded gradient within the active layer. The abundance and interaction of core taxa mainly control community stability in the active and permafrost layers, respectively.

Cellular Snowballing: Cell Adhesion and Migration Drive the Self‐Assembly of Cell‐Microgel Biohybrid Spheroids

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A new class of biohybrid spheroids is engineered through the self‐assembly of adherent cells and extracellular matrix‐mimetic hydrogel microparticles (microgels). By mimicking a snowballing effect, this approach enables scalable formation of porous, millimeter‐scale spheroids with enhanced cell viability and molecular diffusion.
