A category is made up of its class of objects , of a function M (or ) which assigns to each (A,B) ∊ × the class M(A, B) of all morphisms from A to B, of an operation μ which is a class of mapsA, B, C ∊ , and of a family of ...

Philosophy of Science, 1949
In some ways, I think, the analytic method in philosophy and science suffers from an embarrassment of riches. It has too many distinctions—in the sense that any distinction which is infirm, but which is yet carted about along with the necessary apparatus of a method, is (at its most innocuous) superfluous.

Formal apophantics, formal mathematics
1969Formal logic in its delimitation up to now, as apophantic analytics in the broader sense, owes its apriori self-containedness to its concept (the Aristotelian concept) of the judgment-form. One can define this concept also as the determining of all judgments exclusively by their “syntactical forms”, the forms that they, as formations produced by ...

Formal Renewal / Rinnovamento formale
2007In the overall scenario of the past decade dominated essentially by sofas with low backs and deep squabs, consisting of simplified, reconfigurable volumes, over the past few years there have also been signs of interesting new research which, in this edition of the furniture show, finally enters the realm of the commercially feasible.

Formale Apophantik, Formale Mathematik
