Pulse Radiolysis of Formamide and Formamide–Water Mixtures
Canadian Journal of Chemistry, 1971From the optical absorption spectrum observed by a sub-nanosecond pulse radiolysis method it is concluded that irradiated pure liquid formamide (dielectric constant = 109) does not yield solvated electrons with lifetimes >10−11 s. In formamide–water mixtures the hydrated electron is formed in low yield and the position of the absorption band of eaq−

Glycerol, Methyl-Formamide and Dimethyl-Formamide in Canine Semen Cryopreservation
Reproduction in Domestic Animals, 2010The aim of the present work was to compare the efficiency of methyl-formamide (MF), dimethyl-formamide (DF) and glycerol (GL) as cryoprotectants in canine semen cryopreservation. For the experiment, pooled semen was submitted to one of the three cryoprotectants, with a final concentration of 3% in egg yolk-TRIS extender.

The microwave spectrum of formamide–water and formamide–methanol complexes
The Journal of Chemical Physics, 1988The microwave spectra of the formamide–water and formamide–methanol complexes have been investigated with a pulsed beam Fabry–Perot cavity Fourier transform microwave spectrometer. The observed hyperfine structure due to the 14N nuclear quadrupole interaction was used to assign the rotational transitions for both species.

Abstract A reanalysis of vibration-rotation spectral data of formamide using the semi-rigid-bender technique adopted for unsymmetrical 1 large-amplitude motions (LAM) reveals that formamide has a very shallow single-minimum inversion potential. During inversion the amino group rotates around the CN bond with the syn -hydrogen staying closer to the ...

Electric-dipole moments of H2O-formamide and CH3OH-formamide
Journal of Molecular Structure, 1988Abstract Electric-dipole moments have been determined for H 2 O-formamide and CH 3 OH-formamide by pulsed-nozzle Fourier-transform microwave spectroscopy. For H 2 O-formamide μ a =1.050(1) D and μ b =2.135(3) D while for CH 3 OH-formamide μ a =1.066(1) D and μ b =2.091(2) D. The corresponding complexation-induced moments are estimated as 0.55

AbstractThe basis set superposition error (BSSE) influence in the geometry structure, interaction energies, and intermolecular harmonic and anharmonic vibrational frequencies of cyclic formamide–formamide and formamide–water dimers have been studied using different basis sets (6‐31G, 6‐31G**, 6‐31++G**, D95V, D95V**, and D95V++**).

Imidazolsynthesen mit Formamid (Formamid‐Reaktionen, I. Mitteil.)

1. Mixed amides of formic and dialkyl hydrogen phosphites (dialkyl formylphosphoramidites) (alkyl=C2H5; i-C3H7; i-C4H9) were synthesized by the reaction of formamide or N-ethylformamide with dialkyl phosphorochloridites. 2. The formation of unsubstituted dialkyl formylphosphoramidites in this reaction passes through the stage of the ...
