Covalent Organic Frameworks for Water Sorption: The Importance of Framework Physical Stability

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study explores the water‐vapor stability of 2D covalent organic frameworks (COFs) with varying pore sizes. Results reveal microporous COFs demonstrate superior stability compared to mesoporous ones, despite lower water uptake. Mesoporous keto‐enamine‐linked COFs show enhanced stability due to intralayer hydrogen bonds, confirmed by simulations and

JWST Coronagraphic Images of 14 Her c: A Cold Giant Planet in a Dynamically Hot Multiplanet System

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal Letters
Most observed multiplanet systems are coplanar, in a dynamically “cold” configuration of concentric orbits like our own solar system. With the James Webb Space Telescope, we have detected 14 Her c, the first mature and cold exoplanet directly imaged in a

Extensive Pollution of Uranus and Neptune’s Atmospheres by Upsweep of Icy Material during the Nice Model Migration

open access: yesThe Astronomical Journal
In the Nice model of Solar System formation, Uranus and Neptune undergo an orbital upheaval, sweeping through a planetesimal disk. The region of the disk from which material is accreted by the ice giants during this phase of their evolution has not ...
