HD 206893 B at High Spectral Resolution with the Keck Planet Imager and Characterizer
We present an atmospheric characterization and orbital analysis of HD 206893 B, an exceptionally red, L/T-transition substellar companion in a multiplanetary system, via Keck Planet Imager and Characterizer (KPIC) high-resolution ( R ∼ 35,000) K- band ...

Time scale for the formation of the earth and planets and its role in their geochemical evolution [PDF]
The initial mass of the solar nebula is discussed. Models of a massive nebula (two solar masses and more) encounter serious difficulties: an effective mechanism of transfer of the momentum from the central part of the nebula outward, capable of leading ...

Metal‐tetracene dimeric complexes are synthesized through the pyridyl coordination to either Pt(II) or Pd(II). Photophysical properties are systematically compared as a function of the metal using steady‐state and time‐resolved spectroscopy. The Pt(II) dimer exhibits efficient intramolecular singlet fission and subsequent intramolecular up‐conversion ...

Gd‐Induced Oxygen Vacancy Creation Activates Lattice Oxygen Oxidation for Water Electrolysis
DFT calculations shows that Gd incorporation into Fe‐doped NiO raises the O 2p band center, lowers oxygen vacancy formation energy, and thus promotes the LOM mechanism for OER. Gd and Fe co‐doped NiO nanosheets synthesized via spray combustion exhibits a low overpotential of 227 mV and maintains stable AEMWE performance for over 120 h, demonstrating ...

Plasmonic hybridization enables control of light emission in 2D van der Waals heterojunctions. By stacking multilayer GaSe and monolayer MoS2 on a silver film, light emission is enhanced at the edges due to plasmonic effects. In the center, where these effects are absent, charge transfer led to reduced light emission.

The Giant Eruption in Solar Cycle 25 Caused by Collisional Shearing
On 2024 October 3, solar active region (AR) 13842 produced an X9.0 flare, which is the largest one in Solar Cycle 25 so far. Our study is to answer the question of what process caused this flare.
