Control of Open Contour Formations of Autonomous Underwater Vehicles

open access: yesInternational Journal of Advanced Robotic Systems, 2008
In this paper, we propose a distributed elastic behaviour for a deformable chain-like formation of small autonomous underwater vehicles with the task of forming special shapes which have been explicitly defined or are defined by some iso-contour of an ...

Water quality and human health risk assessment of nitrate in the SAO watershed (West, Cameroon)

open access: yesDiscover Geoscience
Water is a vital resource for food, agricultural and electrification needs. These needs, combined with population growth and water availability issues, contribute to the high demand for this natural resource, with the corollary of anthropogenic pollution,

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Information, In-formation, n-formations

open access: yesArchitext, 2021
The nature of information has experienced a significant mutation over the past century. The advent of the information sciences and their incorporation into every domain of research has led us to reconfigure our perception of nature and human production.

Organ‐specific redox imbalances in spinal muscular atrophy mice are partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotides

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

Transferrin receptor 1‐mediated iron uptake supports thermogenic activation in human cervical‐derived adipocytes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Prevalence and determinants of adherence to antiretroviral treatment among HIV patients on first-line regimen: a cross-sectional study in Dakar, Senegal

open access: yesThe Pan African Medical Journal, 2019
INTRODUCTION: Successful and long-term positive impact of antiretroviral treatment requires high rates of adherence ( 90%). In Senegal, there is a lack of data regarding adherence to antiretroviral treatment and only a few studies have looked at the ...

Formation and Characterization of Bisthiourea Zinc Formate

open access: yesCroatica Chemica Acta, 2005

The planar cell polarity protein Vangl2 interacts with the PDZ‐domains of Scribble but not with a unique PDZ‐like domain in Inturned

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Structural and biochemical characterisations show that the planar cell polarity (PCP) protein Inturned harbours a unique PDZ‐like domain that does not bind canonical PDZ‐binding motifs (PBMs) like that of another PCP protein Vangl2. In contrast, the apical‐basal polarity protein Scribble contains four PDZ domains that bind Vangl2, but one PDZ domain ...
