A Randomized Construction of Polar Subcodes

open access: yes, 2017
A method for construction of polar subcodes is presented, which aims on minimization of the number of low-weight codewords in the obtained codes, as well as on improved performance under list or sequential decoding. Simulation results are provided, which

Octet Baryon Masses in Partially Quenched Chiral Perturbation Theory [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
The mass spectrum of the lowest lying octet baryons is calculated to next-to-next-to-leading order in heavy baryon chiral perturbation theory and partially quenched heavy baryon chiral perturbation theory.

ANTIBODY FORMATION [PDF]

open access: yesThe Journal of Experimental Medicine, 1963
Injection of a sufficient dose of bacteriophage ϕX 174 into guinea pigs results in the formation of rapidly sedimenting antibody molecules (19S), and later, slowly sedimenting molecules (7S). Above a threshold dose of antigen, the relative rate of 19S formation is maximal and dose-independent; below this dose, slower relative rates are obtained.

Changes in Body Composition in Children and Young People Undergoing Treatment for Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia: A Systematic Review and Meta‐Analysis

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Ongoing evidence indicates increased risk of sarcopenic obesity among children and young people (CYP) with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), often beginning early in treatment, persisting into survivorship. This review evaluates current literature on body composition in CYP with ALL during and after treatment.

Some Simple Criteria for Gauged R-parity

open access: yes, 1992
We catalog some simple conditions which are sufficient to guarantee that R-parity survives as an unbroken gauged discrete subgroup of the continuous gauge symmetry in certain supersymmetric extensions of the standard model.Comment: 11 pages, UFIFT-HEP-92-
