Design of Forming Processes: Sheet Metal Forming

2004
This article addresses sheet metal deformations processes and are classified as secondary processing methodologies. Sheet metal forming processes are further classified as processes with: compressive stresses, tensile stresses, compressive and tensile stresses, bending, and shear.

Analysis of Process Parameters and Forming Mechanisms within the Electromagnetic Forming Process

CIRP Annals, 2005
Electromagnetic forming (EMF) is a typical high speed forming process using the energy density of a pulsed magnetic field to form workpieces made of metals with high electrical conductivity like e.g. aluminium. In view of new lightweight constructions, special forming processes like EMF gain importance for the associated materials.

Implementation Process of Forms with Orbeon

Proceedings of the 9th International Conference on Theory and Practice of Electronic Governance, 2016
Agesic works on a project whose main goal is to achieve a high percentage of State proceedings and services being electronic, using for that the new technologies and the agency's technological assets. The selected tool was Orbeon Forms.

Forming processes for metalmatrix composites

Composites, 1969
Abstract Metal-matrix composites remain the most attractive long-term aim of the composite materials engineer. To date, the amount of research on metal-matrix materials exceeds both that on polymer and ceramic matrix composites, but there is very little to show in terms of operating hardware and still less which can be justified on an economic basis ...

Development of a Processing Map for Use in Warm-Forming and Hot-Forming Processes

Metallurgical Transactions A, 1981
A fracture initiation map is developed which should be useful in fast forming operations at strain rates greater than about 10-3 s-1 at elevated temperatures. Two types of cavitation mechanisms, one pertaining to cavity formation at second phase particles, as in ductile fracture, and the other pertaining to wedge type microcracking at grain boundaries,

Logical Form as a Determinant of Cognitive Processes

2010
We discuss a research program on reasoning patterns in subjects with autism, showing that they fail to engage in certain forms of non-monotonic reasoning that come naturally to neurotypical subjects. The striking reasoning patterns of autists occur both in verbal and in non-verbal tasks.

Form Annotation Framework for Form-Based Process Automation

2013
Simple form of annotations, such as tagging, are proven to be helpful to end users in organising and managing large amount of resources (e.g., photos, documents). In this paper, we take a first step in applying annotation to forms to explore potential benefits of helping people with little or no technical background to automate the form-based processes.

The Dip-Forming Process

Journal of Heat Transfer, 1965
A cool slab of metal when dipped into the bath of a molten metal first freezes metal from the bath; then—if kept there long enough—the frozen crust and the slab melt out. The same result is obtained in a continuous process where the slab is pulled through the melt.
