Packaging Technology and Science, EarlyView.Chitosan and cinnamon oil reduced film thickness and improved water vapor barrier properties. Cinnamon oil in yam starch films showed strong antibacterial activity against E. coli and S. aureus. Yam starch films with chitosan and cinnamon oil effectively inhibited fungal growth on strawberries.
