Busca de melhor caminho entre múltiplas origens e múltiplos destinos em redes complexas que representam cidades [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2019
Was investigated in this paper the use of a search strategy in the problem of finding the best path among multiple origins and multiple destinations. In this kind of problem, it must be decided within a lot of combinations which is the best origin and the best destination, and also the best path between these two regions.

Stereotypical Reasoning: Logical Properties [PDF]

open access: yesLogic Journal of the Interest Group in Pure and Applied Logics (IGPL), 6(1) (1998) pp. 49-58, 2002
Stereotypical reasoning assumes that the situation at hand is one of a kind and that it enjoys the properties generally associated with that kind of situation. It is one of the most basic forms of nonmonotonic reasoning. A formal model for stereotypical reasoning is proposed and the logical properties of this form of reasoning are studied ...

Israel, a Fortaleza Sitiada

open access: yesDebater a Europa

Spatially nested species distribution models (N‐SDM): An effective tool to overcome niche truncation for more robust inference and projections

open access: yesJournal of Ecology, EarlyView.
N‐SDMs are key tools to develop untruncated regional climate change forecasts of species distributions at fine resolution over restricted extents. While several N‐SDM approaches were proposed, there is currently no universal solution suggesting that further developments and testing are crucial if we are to derive robust future projections of species ...

An Efficient Algorithm for a Sharp Approximation of Universally Quantified Inequalities [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2008
This paper introduces a new algorithm for solving a sub-class of quantified constraint satisfaction problems (QCSP) where existential quantifiers precede universally quantified inequalities on continuous domains. This class of QCSPs has numerous applications in engineering and design. We propose here a new generic branch and prune algorithm for solving

Impact of Instrumentation Technique on Endodontic Treatment Quality in Curved Molars: A Retrospective Analysis

open access: yesAustralian Endodontic Journal, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This cross‐sectional study evaluated technical failures in root canal treatments (RCTs) of curved molars (> 10°) performed by undergraduate students and their association with instrumentation techniques. Evaluations included filling extension, density, taper and ledge/zip formation.

On Wavelet Decomposition over Finite Fields [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2015
This paper introduces some foundations of wavelets over Galois fields. Standard orthogonal finite-field wavelets (FF-Wavelets) including FF-Haar and FF-Daubechies are derived. Non-orthogonal FF-wavelets such as B-spline over GF(p) are also considered.

Escribir en comunidad: Construcción de relaciones y responsabilidad en la producción de conocimiento

open access: yesAmerican Anthropologist, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT As anthropology reckons with its past, present, and future, anthropologists increasingly seek to challenge inequities within the discipline and academia more broadly. Anthropology, regardless of subdiscipline, is a social endeavor. Yet research often remains an isolating (though not necessarily solitary) process, even within research teams and

On Galois-Division Multiple Access Systems: Figures of Merit and Performance Evaluation [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2015
A new approach to multiple access based on finite field transforms is investigated. These schemes, termed Galois-Division Multiple Access (GDMA), offer compact bandwidth requirements. A new digital transform, the Finite Field Hartley Transform (FFHT) requires to deal with fields of characteristic p, p \neq 2.
