Forward Chaining Hierarchical Partial-Order Planning

2021
In recent years, the surge in interest in integrated Task and Motion Planning (TAMP) has caused a resurgence in Task Planning research in the robotics community. Meanwhile, in the broader AI community, combining partial-order planning with grounded forward chaining has become popular for temporal task planning, preserving the ability of partial-order ...

Linking Forward Supply Chain Performance with Reverse Supply Chain Returns

2006 Technology Management for the Global Future - PICMET 2006 Conference, 2006
Reverse Logistics (RL) has been stretching worldwide, involving all the layers of supply chains in various industry sectors. Efficient RL operations are mandatory for organizational sustenance. Since returns are typically characterized by uncertainties in quality, quantity and time, they pose a greater challenge to manage efficiently.

Forward Chaining for Hybrid ASP

2013
In this paper, we define an analogue of the Forward Chaining (FC) algorithm due to Marek, Nerode, and Remmel [12] for Hybrid Answer Set Programming (H-ASP). The FC algorithm for normal logic programs takes as an input a well ordering ≺ of the non-Horn clauses of a normal logic program P and produces a stable model D ≺ for a subprogram A ≺ of P.

Data Forwarding Using Dynamic Chains in VANETs

2018 International Conference on Computer and Applications (ICCA), 2018
Vehicular Ad-hoc Networks (VANETs) have made a great evolution in vehicular system, where they tend to decrease the percentage of accidents annually by maintaining the security of drivers in the road. In recent years, much research has been devoted to the study of the importance of VANETs and improving it; nevertheless, these researches still lack of ...

Single Forward and Reverse Supply Chain

2014
Supply chain involves the procurement structure, logistics, and inventory management from the point of origin to the end user of a product or service. In this chapter, Single Forward and Reverse Supply Chain (SFRSC) system is introduced where it is assumed that stores receive products from a single warehouse with a fixed lead times.

Logic Programs, Compatibility and Forward Chaining Construction

Journal of Computer Science and Technology, 2009
Logic programming under the stable model semantics is proposed as a non-monotonic language for knowledge representation and reasoning in artificial intelligence. In this paper, we explore and extend the notion of compatibility and the Λ operator, which were first proposed by Zhang to characterize default theories.

Intramolecular chain dynamics by forward depolarized scattering

The Journal of Chemical Physics, 1974
Internal relaxation processes of two linear polymers are investigated by the quasielastic Rayleigh scattering in the forward depolarized configuration. The technique is shown to extract only the depolarized component of scattered light which arises solely from the intrachain dynamics without usual encumbrances due to the center of mass translational ...

Chained Feed Forward Architectures

2016
In this chapter, an alternative to the MFFN is presented which is called a chained network. If all the links are feedforward, this would be a chained feedforward network or CFFN. The computational nodes are the vertices and the links are the edges in a directed graph.

Forward Chaining with State Monad

2016
Production systems use forward chaining to perform the reasoning, in this case - matching rules with facts. The Rete algorithm is an effective forward chaining realization. With the growing popularity of functional programming style, questions arise, how well suitable the style is for implementing complex algorithms in the Artificial Intelligence, like
