SUT-RNS Forward and Reverse Converters [PDF]

open access: yes2010 IEEE Computer Society Annual Symposium on VLSI, 2010
Stored Unibit Transfer (SUT) has been recently proposed as a redundant high-radix encoding for the channels of a Residue Number System (RNS) that can improve the efficiency of conventional redundant RNS. In this paper we propose modulo 2^n±1 forward and reverse converters for the SUT-RNS encoding.

Combined Forward-Flyback-Converter with Only Two Diodes - Function and Modelling

open access: yesCommunications, 2011
A combined forward and flyback converter with a simple two windings transformer, an inductor, an active switch, two diodes and a buffer capacitor is explained. The voltage transfer ratio and the demagnetizing condition are derived.

A new magnetron driving method using a phase‐shifted active clamp forward converter for sulfur plasma tube applications

open access: yesIET Power Electronics, 2021
This paper presents a new method for driving the magnetron for a sulfur plasma tube using the two‐switch forward converter structure with a phase‐shifting active clamp (1000±40 W, 285 mA, 4 kV).

Multi-Mode Lithium-Ion Battery Balancing Circuit Based on Forward Converter with Resonant Reset

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2023
A multi-mode active balancing circuit based on a forward converter with resonant reset is proposed to deal with unbalanced states of lithium-ion battery packs. The balancing circuit utilizes the forward converter, enabling high-power balancing.

A novel bidirectional DC-DC converter

open access: yesGong-kuang zidonghua, 2016
For shortages of traditional Buck-Boost converters such as limited output voltage, poor stability, low voltage gain and so on, a novel bidirectional DC-DC converter was designed which used Z-source network to connect DC input power and load.

A review on flicker-free ac-dc LED drivers for single-phase and three-phase ac power grids [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Light-Emitting Diodes (LEDs) are coming strongly into the lighting market due to their advantages over conventional lighting solutions: energy efficient, controllable in both light and color, long lifetime, lack of a warm-up period and high power density.

Constant-coefficient FIR filters based on residue number system arithmetic [PDF]

open access: yesSerbian Journal of Electrical Engineering, 2012
In this paper, the design of a Finite Impulse Response (FIR) filter based on the residue number system (RNS) is presented. We chose to implement it in the (RNS), because the RNS offers high speed and low power dissipation.
