Sliding mode controlled forward converter

The switching action of DC-DC converters makes them variable structure systems. Sliding Mode controller is a robust nonlinear controller that can be used for such variable structure systems.

Isolated high voltage‐boosting converter derived from forward converter
International Journal of Circuit Theory and Applications, 2015SummaryA novel isolated high voltage‐boosting converter, derived from the traditional forward converter, is presented in this paper. As compared with the traditional forward converter, the demagnetizing winding of the transformer in the proposed converter is used not only to demagnetize but also to improve the voltage conversion ratio.

A new ZC-ZVS forward converter
Proceedings of Applied Power Electronics Conference. APEC '96, 2002This paper presents a steady-state analysis with complete characterization of ZCS-ZVS forward power converter operation. The nondissipative snubber associated with a forward power converter provides the soft commutation switching. The proposed approach allows building a converter with high frequency operation.

A unity power factor forward converter
