This work covers ovonic threshold switches (OTSs), from basics to developments and future outlook. It explores OTS devices incorporating various chalcogens and describes how their characteristics vary by material. Engineering strategies, including elemental doping, electrode modifications, post‐treatment, and multilayer designs, are discussed ...

Audio Quality for a Simple Forward Error Correcting Code
The aim of this paper is to study the audio quality offered by a simple Forward Error Correction (FEC) code used in audio applications like Freephone or Rat. This coding technique consists in adding to every audio packet a redundant information concerning a preceding audio packet which belongs to the same audio flow.

Ohmic Response in BiFeO3 Domain Walls by Submicron‐Scale Four‐Point Probe Resistance Measurements
Lateral transport measurements of multiferroic domain walls (DWs) in BiFeO3 thin films employing a novel, lithography‐free method are presented. Using a submicron‐scale multi‐point probe (MPP), ohmic DW conduction behavior is demonstrated, including the first collinear, four‐point resistivity value of a single DW, free of contact resistances.

Abstract Antlers are the most conspicuous trait of cervids and have been used in the past to establish a classification of their fossil and living representatives. Since the availability of molecular data, morphological characters have generally become less important for phylogenetic reconstructions.

A novel low complexity, low latency rate 1/2 FEC code
In this paper, a relatively simple and low complexity rate 1/2 FEC (Forward Error Correction) code has been proposed. The proposed encoder combines the effect of the low cross correlation of two orthogonal sequences along with the effect of the ...

The single‐molecule with a large transistor‐SiMoT is proposed for the detection of the subgenomic RNA of SARS‐CoV‐2, achieving a diagnostic sensitivity of 98.0% and a specificity of 87.8%. The SiMoT technology, currently at TRL‐5, is suitable for point‐of‐care settings and delivers the result to the end user in 30 min.

Endostructural and periosteal growth of the human humerus
Abstract The growth and development of long bones are of considerable interests in the fields of comparative anatomy and palaeoanthropology, as evolutionary changes and adaptations to specific physical activity patterns are expected to be revealed during bone ontogeny.

Effect of Forward Error Correction Codes on the Performance of LDS-OFDM [PDF]
In this paper, selection criteria of Forward Error Correction (FEC) codes, in particular, the convolutional codes are evaluated for a novel air interface scheme, called Low Density Signature Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access (LDS-OFDM). In this regard, the mutual information transfer characteristics of turbo Multiuser Detector (MUD) are ...
