Nonadherence and uncontrolled arterial hypertension in Croatia—Insights from the May Measurement Month 2023 campaign and Hunting the silent killer programme

open access: yesBritish Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, EarlyView.
Aims To determine the prevalence of non‐adherence to antihypertensive medicines and to identify demographic and behavioral factors associated with non‐adherence in subjects enrolled in the May Measurement Month (MMM) 2023, as part of the permanent public health action Hunting the silent killer.

Green Hydrogen for Public Transportation: Insights From an ABM and From Palma de Mallorca Case Study

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The development of green hydrogen (GH2) value chains is crucial for decarbonizing sectors such as transport and industry. Their emergence, however, requires coordination among diverse actors, technologies, and regulations, which traditional analytical approaches struggle to capture.

Two-point theory for the differential self-interrogation Feynman-alpha method

open access: yes, 2012
A Feynman-alpha formula has been derived in a two region domain pertaining the stochastic differential self-interrogation (DDSI) method and the differential die-away method (DDAA). Monte Carlo simulations have been used to assess the applicability of the

The Role of Institutional Pressures in Technology Adoption for Low‐Carbon Manufacturing

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Existing research highlights that the adoption of low‐carbon technologies in manufacturing operations is shaped by the external environment. However, limited understanding exists regarding how technology‐related uncertainty interacts with institutional pressures to influence firms' adoption strategies.

THREE STATE MARKOV MODEL: COMPARING THREE PARAMETERIZATIONS OF THE TRANSITION INTENSITY RATE. APPLICATION TO RHEUMATOID ARTHRITIS DATA MODELO DE MARKOV DE TRES ESTADOS: COMPARACIÓN DE PARAMETRIZACIONES DE LA TASA DE INTENSIDAD DE TRANSICIÓN. APLICACIÓN A DATOS DE ARTRITIS REUMATOIDEA

open access: yesRevista Colombiana de Estadística, 2007
We consider a three state model with an absorbing state assuming an underlying Markov process to explain the dependence among observations within subjects.

A statistical rain attenuation prediction model with application to the advanced communication technology satellite project. Part 2: Theoretical development of a dynamic model and application to rain fade durations and tolerable control delays for fade countermeasures [PDF]

open access: yes
A dynamic rain attenuation prediction model is developed for use in obtaining the temporal characteristics, on time scales of minutes or hours, of satellite communication link availability. Analagous to the associated static rain attenuation model, which

A neural network approach for the blind deconvolution of turbulent flows

open access: yes, 2017
We present a single-layer feedforward artificial neural network architecture trained through a supervised learning approach for the deconvolution of flow variables from their coarse grained computations such as those encountered in large eddy simulations.

Click Capture SELEX for the Identification of Click‐Modified Aptamers Targeting Small Molecules in Solution

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
Using kanamycin A as a model target, we developed click‐capture SELEX to identify nucleobase‐modified aptamers capable of binding small molecules in solution. This approach enables flexible incorporation of nucleobase modifications via CuAAC, allowing the chemical properties of the aptamer to be tailored to the target molecule.

Modelo de Markov de tres estados: comparación de parametrizaciones de la tasa de intensidad de transición. Aplicación a datos de artritis reumatoidea Three state Markov model: comparing three parameterizations of the transition intensity rate. Application to rheumatoid arthritis data

open access: yesRevista Colombiana de Estadística, 2007
Se considera un modelo múltiple de tres estados donde uno de ellos es absorbente. Se asume que la dependencia entre las observaciones registradas para un mismo sujeto sigue un proceso de Markov.

Invariant Measure and Universality of the 2D Yang–Mills Langevin Dynamic

open access: yesCommunications on Pure and Applied Mathematics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT We prove that the Yang–Mills (YM) measure for the trivial principal bundle over the two‐dimensional torus, with any connected, compact structure group, is invariant for the associated renormalised Langevin dynamic. Our argument relies on a combination of regularity structures, lattice gauge‐fixing and Bourgain's method for invariant measures ...
