Newly Structured Router Network Architecture Using Cloud Control Plane and Forwarding Plane
2009 IEEE Globecom Workshops, 2009This paper proposes a novel network architecture called cloud control plane (Cloud C-plane) to reduce the power consumption of networks. In Cloud C-plane, the forwarding functions and control functions are decoupled, and the control functions are placed in the cloud.

Forward Fraunhofer scattering from a semi-infinite plane
Journal of the Optical Society of America A, 1986Experimental values for small-angle Fraunhofer scattering by thick, metallic half planes are compared with simple, linear theoretical models. It is found that the diffraction pattern is not symmetrical about the zero scattering angle and that a relative phase shift in the Huygens sources is required to reproduce the measured spectrum.

RuleOut Forwarding Anomalies for SDN
IEEE/ACM Transactions on Networking, 2023Reliable Software-Defined Networking (SDN) should mitigate forwarding anomalies due to cross-plane rule inconsistencies. Most existing countermeasures either inject probe packets to infer forwarding correctness or collect packet traces to detect ...

Poster: Scaling Data Plane Verification with Throughput-Optimized Atomic Predicates
Conference on Applications, Technologies, Architectures, and Protocols for Computer Communication, 2023Atomic predicate is a key enabler to the rapid development of data plane verification, a technique to monitor and verify correctness of forwarding rules.

Impact of ground plane on wind turbine forward scattering
2015 International Workshop on Antenna Technology (iWAT), 2015Mitigation of the impact of wind turbine (WT) forward scattering on radars, navigation systems and terrestrial radio links requires accurate modelling and rapid calculation of diffraction of RF and microwave signals at the tower and rotor of WTs. A proper analysis by 3D numerical field simulation is very time consuming as the problem is electrically ...

Evaluating the forwarding plane performance of the commodity hardware virtual routers
The Second International Conference on Communications and Networking, 2010With the resurgent interest in virtualisation, router virtualisation seems the next step to servers virtualisation. It is also a key in deploying flexible and isolated virtual networks. In this paper, we evaluate Xen-based virtual routers on top of commodity hardware. Forwarding being achieved through the driver domain networking model, we identify and

Invertible propagator for plane wave illumination of forward-scattering structures
Applied Optics, 2017Propagation of directed waves in forward-scattering media is considered. It is assumed that the evolution of the wave field is governed by the standard parabolic wave equation. An efficient one-step momentum-space propagator, suitable for a tilted plane wave illumination of extended objects, is derived.

A moment method for a highly forward-scattering plane medium
Astrophysics and Space Science, 1986The radiative transfer problem in a plane medium with a highly forward-scattering phase function has been solved by Siewertet al. (1980) with reflective boundaries, and by Menguc and Viskanta (1983) without reflective boundaries. In the present paper a moment method is devised to solve the same problem.

Signaling RSVP-TE Tunnels on a Shared MPLS Forwarding Plane
2019As the scale of MPLS RSVP-TE networks has grown, so the number of Label Switched Paths (LSPs) supported by individual network elements has increased. Various implementation recommendations have been proposed to manage the resulting increase in control plane state.
