Deep Underground Science and Engineering, EarlyView.This study demonstrates that the ultra‐low background radiation environment in deep underground laboratories significantly inhibits the proliferation of both normal nasopharyngeal epithelial cells (HNEPC) and nasopharyngeal carcinoma cells (HNE‐1) cells, with malignant cells exhibiting higher sensitivity.
