First evidence of ethyl-hydrogen phosphonate (fosetyl) formation in winemaking

Food Chemistry, 2018
The formation of ethylphosphonate (fosetyl) was investigated in wine matrices. In experimental conditions, alcoholic fermentation of grape juices spiked with phosphonic acid resulted in wines with detectable amounts of fosetyl. The ageing period adopted for these wines further increased the fosetyl content in the absence of yeast lees, thus indicating ...

Fosetyl-Al photo-Fenton degradation and its endogenous catalyst inhibition

Journal of Hazardous Materials, 2014
Interferences from many sources can affect photo-Fenton reaction performance. Among them, catalyst inhibition can be caused by the complexation and/or precipitation of iron species by the organic matter and salts present in the reaction media. This is the case of the oxidation of effluents containing organophosphorous fosetyl-Al.

Variation in sensitivity of Phytophthora infestans to fosetyl‐Al

Plant Pathology, 1990
Twenty‐three field isolates of Phytophthora infestans from North America, Europe and Israel were tested for sensitivity to fosetyl‐Al on rye‐seed‐agar medium and on leaf discs from 12 potato cultivars.

Response of pineapple to mycorrhizal inoculation and fosetyl‐Al treatment

Communications in Soil Science and Plant Analysis, 1990
Abstract A pot experiment was conducted in the greenhouse to determine the influence of vesicular‐arbuscular mycorrhizal (VAM) inoculation on growth of pineapple (Ananas comosus, cv.’Smooth Cayenne') and its interaction with fosetyl‐Al in a Wahiawa soil (Tropeptic Eutrustox) at soil solution P levels of 0.003, 0.02 and 0.2 mg/L.

Seed treatment of peas with fosetyl-Al against Aphanomyces euteiches

Netherlands Journal of Plant Pathology, 1990
In 1983, seed dressing of peas with fosetyl-Al (Aliette) compared favourably with all other treatments on a field heavily contaminated with foot and root rot pathogens. Experiments carried out in 1983 and 1984 could not establish the reason for this phenomenon.
