Integrating Machine Learning With Constant‐Potential Simulation to Unravel Charge‐Transfer Mechanisms in Electrochemical Nitrogen Fixation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Integrating interpretable machine learning with the fixed‐potential method reveals a novel mechanism: the catalytic activity of the electrochemical nitrogen reduction reaction is governed by partial charge transfer, induced by variations in the intermediate potential of zero charge under constant potential.

Working Paper 16-09 - EU Energy/Climate package and energy supply security in Belgium [PDF]

open access: yes
In December 2008, the European Union adopted an integrated Energy/Climate package which steps up the Union's energy and climate policy ambitions to a new level and outlines how the effort will be shared among the Member States.

A Just Transition: Why Transitioning Workers into a New Clean Energy Economy Should Be at the Center of Climate Change Policies [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
With a hostile federal administration, states must take up the fight against climate change. Shortly after the United States withdrew from the Paris Climate Accord, governors from several states announced efforts to meet the targets.

A Wood Plasticine With Controlled Phase‐Change Behavior and Malleability for Energy‐Closed‐Loop and Conformally Adaptive Thermal Management

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A photothermal wood plasticine exhibiting controlled phase‐change behavior and malleable property is developed. The developed wood plasticine can provide all‐day, on‐demand, and low‐loss solar heating for geometrically diverse objects, including thermoelectric generator, human body, and battery, through its controlled crystallization‐melting ...

Power from the Desert: Not a Mirage [PDF]

open access: yes
Energy policy is confronted by two major challenges. First, fossil fuels will become ever more scarce and expensive in coming years, a trend which will intensify conflicts for the control of natural resources.

Dampak Kebijakan Pengembangan Bahan Bakar Nabati terhadap Dinamika Harga Komoditas Pangan dan Energi Nasional dengan Pendekatan Model Sistem Dinamis [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
The increasing consumption of fossil fuels and the limitation of its availability are twomajor causes of the fluctuating trends of fossil fuels prices. They are also believed tohave created instability of certain feedstock prices since alternative energy

Lignocellulosic resources uses for savings of fossil fuels [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Lignocellulosic biomass makes up the main part of the biomass produced in the world (12.1011 ton per year); relatively speaking, saccharose and starch make up a lower part (108t).

Role of Epoxide Functionalization of Amines for Development of Direct Air Capture Sorbents with High Cyclic Working Capacity at Low Desorption Temperatures

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Appropriate butylene oxide (BO) functionalization of amines (polyethyleneimine (PEI1200 and PEI300) and tris(2‐aminoethyl)amine (TREN)) enables excellent cyclic working capacities (WCcyclic) at low desorption temperatures (40−70°C). Notably, 0.30BO‐PEI300‐SY and 0.54BO‐TREN‐SY show the highest WCcyclic at 45 and 40°C, respectively.
