Hydrogen‐Assisted Fracture of Iron‐Based Fe–Ni–Al Alloys
Principal relations and fracture mechanisms of single‐phase and precipitate‐strengthened Fe–Ni–Al alloys subjected to prior electrochemical hydrogen charging are identified. The mechanisms of hydrogen effect on strength and microhardness are discussed, including hydrogen‐induced increase in microhardness and the role of hydrogen in fracture behavior ...

Cranial anatomy and stratigraphy of a new specimen of the tyrannosaurine dinosaur Daspletosaurus from the Judith River Formation of Central Montana, USA [PDF]
The tyrannosaurine Daspletosaurus contains three recognized species from the Campanian of Montana and Alberta: Daspletosaurus torosus, Daspletosaurus wilsoni, and Daspletosaurus horneri. The recently named D. wilsoni has been proposed to represent a

030_05: Man Working on Processing the Fossil
This item features the black and white photo taken at Jack Swayze\u27s ranch in Clark County, Kansas during a faculty excavation trip. A man is kneeling and is working on a process to preserve the fossil for transport.

The present study investigates recycling of NiTi shape memory alloys via vacuum induction melting. An ingot was synthesized from elemental Ni and Ti and subjected to three subsequent remelting cycles. Remelting increases process durations and impurity levels and adversely affects microstructures and functional properties.

The significance of early hominid cranial variability [PDF]
The aims of this thesis are: 1. To examine patterns of morphological variation in the crania of extant species {Pan, Gorilla, Pongo, and H. sapiens) to determine if any common pattern of primate sexual dimorphism exists which could be used in the ...

059-02: 69-21 Man Jacketing Vertebrate Fossil
This black and white photograph depicts an excavation site. A large vertebrate fossil with various bones exposed in a rocky excavated area is in the center of the black and white photograph. Left of the fossil lies a stuffed burlap sack.

3D Printing Innovations in Polymeric Porous and Patterned Architecture
Polymeric foams occupy a unique structural space between dense solids and open networks, where engineered void fraction governs mechanical compliance, thermal resistance, and mass transport. Additive manufacturing now enables precise spatial control over cellular architecture, unlocking designer foam structures across applications spanning crash ...

Further desmostylian remains from the upper Oligocene of Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada
The North Pacific rim was home to an extinct group of semiaquatic marine mammals, the order Desmostylia, which superficially resembled hippos. Desmostylians are an uncommon fossil vertebrate in most localities where they occur, and Oligocene taxa ...
